Cardinals Defeated The Dolphins

The St. Michael Cardinals won their first game Monday night at Volanta Park against the Gulf Shore Dolphins. The opposing team could not handle the ball with their flippers so the Cardinals Defensive End Grant Roberts swoops in with his talons and takes it to the nest scoring the first touchdown of the season. #43 Michael Brown intercepted the ball towards the end of the game. #27 Luke Farrell scored three touchdowns helping the Cardinals win their first game. Grant Murray faked a hand off then ran the ball into the end zone scoring yet another touchdown. The previous ineligible, namely Luke and Grant Roberts had a great start to their first season with the Cardinals. Some of the ineligible people that made Monday night memorable were inside linebacker Hunter Moak, Wide Receiver Jack Donald, Carter St. Pierre, Defensive Tackle David Stroud, and Cornerback Andrew Scott. The Cardinal football team had been practicing three days a week up until school started back and then it was bumped up to five days a week. You could say all of their time and hard work is starting to pay off really well.

The cheer leading squad was fully responsible for getting the student section hyped up for the game. Cheer captain, Kat Dasinger made the entire dance for the pep rally Friday night, August 25th. The squad has been practicing since the middle of summer and they are growing stronger and closer as a squad. Flyers, Millie Ollinger and Morgan Domning were at the game stunting throughout the game. Throughout the whole game, everyone especially the student section was very high spirited. From the cheerleaders to the football team, these Cardinals helped make Monday night very memorable for everyone.
