Interviewing St.Michael's Head Football Coach

Q: How did you feel about your team’s performance in the first game against the Gulf Shores Dolphins?

A: Well, I thought it was a great improvement over last year’s first game. The kids did not have a lot of knowledge, and they did not exactly know what they were doing. This year I thought we came with a lot more experience, a lot more knowledge of what we were doing and we really looked like a football team.

Q: What are your expectations for the season?

A: Our expectations are to take another level into being a Varsity program. We want to do more things correctly, we want to execute our game plan, and we want to compete better than we did last year.

Q: What do you think about the upcoming game against Mobile Christian?

A: Well you know, Mobile Christian is a very good football team. They have a really good JV. Our expectations are to compete better and to execute better than last year, and to raise our level of play.

Q: What is your football philosophy?

A: My football philosophy is to instill a vision of competitiveness, to represent God, and that the kids take something out of this program that they will be able to use in their life as they become adults.

Q:Why do you like coaching here?

A: We have a lot of great kids and it is a great opportunity to build a program that, four or five years down the road, you can see them mature, evolve, and compete.

Q: Will the Juniors get lettermen jackets for their Senior year?

A: That will be entirely up to them.

Q: Last but not least, what is your favorite color?

A: ORANGE!
